It's the ultimate format of the game. I totally understand the appeal of the ODI and T20 formats; a result in one day, and lots of crash, bang, wallop" stuff*. The broadcasters must love it. And judging by the attendances that test matches are getting in most parts of the world (even the GABBA was sparsely populated), it could be argued that test cricket is dying. But, for me, an exciting 5 (or even 4 or 3) day test match can't be bettered.


*That 16.4 bullshit can fuck off, though.

Restricting them to under 400 would be great but realistically we’re still in the game as long as they don’t score more than 450. It’s definitely a first innings wicket. In hindsight, we could have done with another seamer.
