He's generally much better against pace than against spin. It's not helped by the fact that he, and the rest, see so little of it in the domestic game these days.

Good start for England and we have played well so far, but you know wickets can fall quickly and then it's a different game, 450 plus should be the target from here, then we bowl without pressure and attacking fields

What’s everyone’s opinion on Pope? Seems to be highly rated but he never fills me with confidence.

He’s also being lined up for when Stokes gives up the captaincy.

I agree, I would drop Crawley and put Johnny Bairstow to open and bring in Foakes as wicket keeper

Well I got that wrong!! Crawley playing well, seems assured and confident. Good start for the POMs.
