I like the best of 3 idea. Top team gets to choose preference in the 1st game, the other team gets the choice in the 2nd game and they toss in the third.They should reduce the next World Cup and the final should best of 3 because if India won the toss they would have won!

48 matches in a tournament and only about 2 of them were tense and exciting at the end. Piss poor format.

They have quite a few more people to pick from too. 1.3 Billion people vs 26 million.Look, in my experience, the Indians are very bit as arrogant as the Aussies in their conviction that they have a God-given right to win. Not particularly happy to see the Aussies win, but no, not at all unhappy to see the Indians lose this.
Plus their celebrations will be when we’re all asleep.
