Yep the MCC won't be happy with a 3 day test match (nor I am I was looking forward to a Sunday watching the telly!).

The occasional supporter might be satisfied with the win, but after the horror show in Australia, five-day matches are needed and not just for commercial reasons. The players themselves need to play more so as to better understand what is required at this level and only then can the management appraise the squad.
