To be fair, we took 18 in the last test and looked to have done all the hard work in breaking the back of the Australian run chase, before failing to see it over the line. The early signs from this test, however, are that we're going to struggle to take wickets a lot more than we did at EdgbastonThe fear was always how are we going to take 20 wickets to win an Ashes test, it appears very unlikely from what we have seen in the series so far.
Mainly because smith and labuschagne played poorly at Edgbaston. I very much doubt they will do that again this series. To be fair, we took 18 in the last test and looked to have done all the hard work in breaking the back of the Australian run chase, before failing to see it over the line. To be fair we failed to take 20 wickets to win the test and lost the test as a result, it is not looking anywhere near likely we can do it in this 2nd testTo be fair, we took 18 in the last test and looked to have done all the hard work in breaking the back of the Australian run chase, before failing to see it over the line.
