That was some day out. Absolutely superb by Smith and Brook. Saw Smith for the first time in the flesh at the same ground last year, he got a classy 95 but today was something else. Bizarre scorecard but the game could have been gone by the afternoon without those two. Sadly our bowling attack just isn't good enough at the moment it would seem. Weather could intervene, hopefully not, so will be interesting to see what India give us to chase.

Lancs are all conquering this week. Can it last?
—- The skipper stepped down transforming his own form
—- The appalling coach was removed
—- Top players returned to the side.
I think it can last, so much has changed.

I thought Salt and Buttler looked rusty, never got ahead of the run rate, which they should have done which made it a close finish.

Hopefully they can kick on with a game under the belt.
I agree about Salt and Buttler but I also wonder if they thought 10s/12s off the last 2/3 overs was doable with the short boundary.

Has there been any official explanation as to why the Jaiswal review was allowed, despite being clearly over the 15 second time limit, assuming that the on screen clock was correct?

Not that I've seen, but maybe everyone's decided to bury it given that India lost more than England from it.
I half expected that Stokes might have had to see the match ref over the way he protested what happened. While he seems to have had cause to be annoyed, it looked a bit aggressive.

Looks like rain throughout the Lanky game, but seen these games played entirely in the rain if it is light.

A NR not much good against Derbyshire at home, it wouldn't have been so bad against one of the chasing pack.

At Lancs.
Ffs how long does it take to get the game back on? With this forecast today they need to be bang on it as soon as it stops raining. Staff sauntering around.
