I wouldn't say that mate, if Chelsea get him they will win the league easy.

He will score the same amount of goals as 2 or 3 of our strikers will in total across all competitions.

He will play on the wing no doubt, so with another 20- 30 goal a season center forward as well, we would have no hope in my opinion.

legend status my arse..the only one he has respect from there is fergie and he said that fergie is still manager he won't join us now with fergie off tbh if we offer him 250.000 pounds /week he will think twice before decide where he go this is a player we need to get at all costs to get him a game changer

In a nutshell I think. It's not about not having the desire to sign him, IIRC in the past we offered him the combined wealth of the South American drug trade to join us and he still turned it down. I dont think we've even on the agenda.

As an attacking winger he is one of the very best attackers in the world, add him to what we have and what we hope to get and we would be a massive threat in Europe let alone domestically.

I wonder how much the Sheikh is hurting with our disappointing season and the title going elsewhere.
