Cristiano Ronaldo

I mentioned the rags as one point in many but well done on focusing on that one alone.

The rags comment isn't all that relevant. He went to United as a kid, used the club as a stepping stone, became a Madrid legend and now wants to join United's rivals in City. Clearly there isn't much affiliation.

I focused on the morality part because I don't understand that viewpoint. Why is Ronaldo abhorrent but Kane isn't?

Give over.

We could do with and have been actively looking for a striker for over a year, we probably need one short term (1-2 years)… he plays as a striker and would give us a good 1-2 years.

That’s all that matters.

I think the majority of footballers are cunts. I think most are arrogant pricks and nearly all of them are cheating wankers. There are even posters on here who went over the Abu Dhabi when the City team went over at the same time who confirmed that that’s no different with a number of the City team n’all.

If he came to City, he’d be the 27th player who played for United and then at a later stage in their career played for or coached City.
The short term thing even makes sense with the 3 possible projects we already have in Delap Jesus & Torres, Ronaldo is pretty much undisputedly a **** but he’s a damn professional & driven one and surely in addition to the goals he would get, the training with him would undoubtedly help the development of these guys as well as the false 9 guys given he evolved his own game from wing to outright goal machine.

If you can't see the difference in buying a Spurs legend compared to a United legend then I don't know what to tell you.

How is he a United legend though? Genuine question. He arrived at the club as a kid and left at 23 having repeatedly undermined the club by stating his dream was Madrid and tried to leave on 3 separate occasions. United fans can delude themselves into thinking he's their legend but he's a Madrid legend who developed at United. That's it.

Denis Law wouldn’t even celebrate scoring against United for us and he’s revered. I reckon CRonaldo would celebrate a goal against them, just like he did for Juve against them a few years ago.

Plus he’s a Madrid legend, who used United as a stepping stone to become that.

His Juventus team mates loved him in the squad, I think he’s more of a team player now than he was at Madrid. Such as yes he does that celebration but always goes over to the guy who assisted him after it.

He didn't though, he said he was taking a break after city but didn't confirm he was leaving after the contract, he actually said "maybe longer"
Is that true? Saw it was all doom and gloom never checked the interview myself. Hope we can get him to stay for longer fear we will have a rocky few years when he goes. As for Ronaldo he is a knob but if the deal is doable I would go for it he knows where the net is and knows the league he offers us an aerial threat which will allow us to mix up our game, if pep wants him hope we get it done we need someone and I think he is the lowest risk option.

So I said you have focused only on the ex rag angle and you reply by focusing on and expanding this doh!

I have given several reasons why I couldn’t support him playing for us. I’m not repeating them.
