If you think our board have the bullocks and the intellect to get that deal done, you need your head examining.
I’m only stating what “I” would do, knowing full well the club will back off and do fuck all. It’s felt we’ve always been one or two short every year Peps been here which means despite all we have done we have yet to surprise let alone terrify Europe lol. Feel we’ve missed the chance to emulate Real Barca Ajax in totally dominating

The same with Kane and all these bids we submitted according to journalists and supposed itks after Pep confirmed we didn't even open negotiations with Levy.
Trouble is many posters are using these twitter twats to inform their views on those at the top of our club. And would rather use those views than the performances and trophies happening on the pitch to reach an opinion..

Some people here need to realize that City are a global football club now whether you like it or not. We have expectations, we can't let the scum or any other club snatch our targets (which they don't need) just because City don't sign them.

We have thousands of fans right now getting mocked by their United mates because we didn't get this through. Do you expect to us sit here and clap hands at the board or something for trying ?
We got right to be pissed off.
WTF?!

Agreed but why do we fail with the real class 1 players... Do you honestly think we stand a chance with haaland,, for instance
We’ll be signing him on deadline day. All part of the 12D chess we play ;)

Joking aside, no idea, but looks like there’s only going to be a small handful of teams who can afford him & require a striker next season, so potentially, although I’d imagine Madrid will be his likely destination

Your username would be a good description of that winger... who we now are relying on to score the goals to fire us to PL and CL glory. God help us
We’re in the group of death in the CL and going into a premier league season where most main rivals have improved drastically. We lack a solid left back, an actual striker and our £60m DM can’t be trusted so we rely on a 36 year old to play there.

They haven't let him out have they?
He'll remain in custody till September 10, and then there's no guarantees what comes of next hearing. The chances are he could even get his contract terminated if the charges prove correct. Hence new word around the club is a left back.

We seem to be having problems bidding for anything, that's the issue.

Grealish was a saga even with a clause.

If we wanted Kane, either pay or walk away, and move on.

We waste so much time waiting for the price to drop and it never does.
We are simply bad at transfers. why the fook did we prioritise paying 100M for grealish when our first priority should have been to sign a striker and LB. Then we wanted for months for levy to come around. We sent a very low first bid to spurs. We are mess at transfers lately

Firstly its unfair to blame Tiki he's just one member of a transfer committee; he's not the Chairman, CEO, CIO, COO, or CFO his role as Director of Football is to outline the footballing strategy and manage the squad he can only make recommendations I doubt very much he deals with the financial side of any transfer

The club has always had a strategy of valuing a player and his contract and not just paying what is necessary to get it over the line regardless of cost. They have a budget and stick to it, remember we are the most monitored club when it comes to FFP

This strategy has meant we have lost out on signings but so be it we are still the most successful English club

The rags would not allow Ronaldo to sign for City the negativity would have been nuclear, if the reports are true City weren't prepared to pay Juve a fee so clearly they weren't 100% committed the interest, if there was any, was generated from the player's side.

So, if the rags do sign him they are buying a player they sold for 84M making a 67M profit on, now 11 years later they are going to pay 30M plus agents and signing on fees with no sell-on value and this is for a player in a position they don't need to strengthen. They will increase their wage bill, take up a squad position and its a player who wanted to go to their neighbours

We haven't had Aguero for a few seasons TBH.
What do you mean? Granted we did not really have him last season (20 appearances, 6 goals) but the season before that he scored 23 goals in 32 appearances. Before that 32 goals in 46 appearances... I can go on?
