Criticism of Pep

Great post.

That Barca team was beaten by a relatively unimpressive Chelsea team over two legs and Chelsea played most of the 2nd leg with 10 players. Messi missed a pen. That's football, shit happens. It doesn't happen to Liverpool this season, but it will happen to them at some point too.

Its sport. Its the PL. Its the CL.

It isn't a computer game with full cheat mode on.

Clearly we do or we would just agree.

Mine is you have lost yours and the post I've quoted is so ridiculous, for me it backs my argument up.

For those who say Pep isn't perfect and makes mistakes? No shit, he is human, not a robot.

Maybe its time for you all to tell us who is perfect and who can replace him, guaranteeing as a minimum the same success he has brought and of course guaranteeing the holy grail of the CL?

I wont hold my breath waiting on an answer.

In fairness, the media will most certainly portrait Klopp as the more successful manager in England if/when they win the title with 100+ pts.

Why some blues are adamant that it will be true is baffling though but there you go.

That said, I think we aren't done this season. We can still finish the season very strongly.

Of course the media will for very obvious reasons.

It doesnt make them right, nor does it make it right for blues to agree with it because it simply isn't true.

As of today Klopp has not achieved anywhere near what Pep has in the game.

That’s good because I won’t dignify your comments with an answer.

Anyway, no hard feelings. Have a great weekend. :)

I actually think Pep was wrong on Sunday but gladly recovered with his next press conference. I feel there is a level of disappointment from him and the players around the fan base especially for home games. You can tell with their reactions after an away game where they fully tend to engage with the fans.

Pep and some of the European players have come from environments where fans tend to stay behind and applaud the players ie Bayern, Dortmund, Barca - fans stay behind and really do engage with the players post the matches.

I for one always stay behind with my son and clap the team off. By the time the players have shaken hands, most fans are on their way out and rarely give them a send off -

I'm not saying its wrong of the fans as we all have places to go... I think and believe they probably want abit more at home games..

wouldn't say in Spain they are like that.

Infact i would put the english game ahead of the spanish game in terms of fans to players interaction.

Spot on with the Germans mind you.

This is my first post. Disclaimer: I’m not a Manchester City fan, but I am a fan of the football you’ve played over the last three years.

If you want an outsider's perspective, I think elements of your fanbase are completely out to lunch. It’s a strange alchemy of cynicism, rage and ignorance combined with a victimization complex.

You’ve just witnessed the two highest-scoring seasons in premier league history, and yet you show your coach and players so little respect it beggars belief.

I remember when Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea in 2012. I’m sure their fans were disappointed, but at the end of ninety minutes, they stood and applauded in unison in recognition of their team's achievements over the prior four years.

Yes, that Barcelona team won more, but they also had a much stronger first eleven than this City team. Given the individual quality of your players—which is very high, but not significantly better than your current rivals—this team has performed tremendously.

I hope you guys win the Champions League this year, your team deserves it. I also hope the more ignorant elements of your fanbase learn to appreciate what they’ve got before it’s too late.

For the record, there are definitely areas where you could improve the individual quality of your team, but all of your players deserve the utmost respect for what they’ve accomplished over the last two seasons.

This is spot on, I don't know what's happened with a section of our support. It's been fraying at the edges all season, but completely unraveled in the last week or two. I'm going to put it down to the intensity of last year's run-in, but I think it might have longer and deeper roots.

What kind of weird fucker endures Bluemoon if they're not a City fan?
