Crystal Palace (A) | Post Match Thread

Lets face it we played well tonight and were very unlucky. If you think that was a poor performance give your head a wobble

Grealish wasn't the worst player on the pitch tonight, but he has been consistently shite all season. What a waste of money. I know some of you will say give him time, but how long? It's not as though he's come from abroad, he's an experienced PL player and is used to the pace of the PL. He needs to stop posing and literally pull his socks up!

Don’t do things easily. Going right to the wire this one I think

Bernardo sticks in that chance early on instead of trying to walk it in and we cruise to a 2-0 or 3-1
Bernardo and Cancelo really had off nights and Phil in the no 9 role is anonymous in too many games
Thought we played ok generally, one of those nights really.

Lol.
Carragher has just said Mahrez outstanding.
He was hesitant and fucking rubbish.
Should have put the rebound from KDB woodwork shot the other side and not straight back at the keeper
Wouldn't say he was rubbish but had a couple of good opportunities he should have done better with

Agree but Raz & Jesus should be on at 75 mins for me. We had nothing to lose in my opinion. 3 points were vital tonight not 1

Thing is there wasn’t any space so not sure Sterling would have done any better. Jesus maybe though.

I’d have been tempted with Gundogan for Bernardo.

Not the first time we've had most of the game and tons of chances but failed to score, if the false 9's are slightly off form we end up scoreless.

Many teams consider us as the team to beat, or get a draw against. We are their cup final, rarely do teams show the same performance against others as they do us.
We have to be at our very best, every game, and that's not always possible.

What is unforgivable is that manager of Pep's undoubted brilliance, left a clearly under performing Silva and Foden on for the whole game, while Sterling and Jesus are on the bench.

It's still in our hands, beating Liverpool will be very useful and hopefully some other teams will give Liverpool a competitive game. Come on Arsenal.

Would you swap being 4 points ahead to bring 4 points behind with a game in hand, given the respective fixtures?

Everything is still in our favour in the title run in. We have a point advantage and the more favourable fixtures.

My only worry is that we seem to be getting worse as the season progresses whereas Liverpool are getting stronger.

Sky are hilarious… pushing the narrative that palace could have won. It would have been the freak 3 points of the season if they’d have fluked a win

I see the usual fanny wipes are on here. Go and have a lie down and spare us from your moronic utterings for fuck sake. It's like we've never been in a title race before.
Everything we went through as a club in the last 40 years should have been character building, but too many of our fans have got no character about them at all.

Liverpool have a game in hand and will most likely spank Arsenal on Wednesday
If Arsenal weren't in such good form and Liverpool not in a downturn of their form I'd have agreed. As it is though, anyone who's been paying attention to both teams these past few weeks, will probably tell you don't count on Liverpool steam rolling them.

Fucking shite, that result or worse was evident within the first 5 mins yet the man who complains about a lack of subs/changes uses none.
So you’re saying you could tell how the game was going to go after 5mins. You knew that we would blow all those chances ? Blimey, any chance you happen to have a set of numbers for the lottery ?
