Had a look at their forums, and they don’t seem particularly confident. They expect Sakho and Tomkins (their first choice centre-halves?) to miss out with injury. Didn’t realise their home form was as poor as it is - only four wins out of 16 - although they’ve only conceded 17 goals at Selhurst Park.

Is Mendy injured again

He definitely pulled up during the semi final and signalled to the bench, and was substituted straight away. Think he trained before Spurs though so it’s presumably not anything serious but doubt they’ll take any chances if he’s not 100%.

Seen a few people say this and, whilst it won't be easy by any means, surely the derby will be a tougher game?
Think it's as tough, but I think it could be more important, have a feeling if we win this Liverpool will drop a couple of points that give us a bit of breathing space for the derby and relieve a bit of pressure on the game.

Perhaps i was a little strong with 'to accommodate Mendy'
My thoughts around this is that,

Mendy struggled to defend against brighton so gives him more protection
I doubt mendy will play in back four with Sane on the wing as others have suggested
Our LB situation is again dire, Delph showed against Spurs that he should be no where near the first 11
Zinchenko out
Laporte can play there but we then lose his calmness at CB.
Danilo can play there but you then lose that natural width as he will want to cut inside...

Might be worth looking at that formation, it also brings another central attacker in which may be useful.

I fully expect Spurs to go 3 CB's and wing backs against us in the return champions league game.

If Bernardo is still out or needs a few more days rest, we cannot play mahrez, he slows the play down way to much. With wing backs we then do not need wingers (sterling can easily play through the middle)

Sorry - that is a lot of thoughts!!!

Wondering what the state of the pitch is? Everytime we seem to go there it is really dry and bobbly which doesnt suit are passing game not expecting any different on sunday. A win and dippers dropping points will give us a big lift going into wednesday.

Nope our players relish playing the scum Pep to because he knows his tactics will pay of palace parking the bus will be harder game

I think palace will be very tough, they have the perfect set-up to play against us. Defend and very quick counter with lots of pace.
We need a great performance, not just if we are to win, but also for morale coming into the final straight. Swansea, Brighton, Fulham have all been “just enough” performances and I think we need to get out of this mind set and go for it until the end of the season

More worried about Palace and Leicester than united and Spuds tbh.

Palace match up really, really well against us with a lot of pace.

For me it's a game crying out for Gundogan deep, dinking balls through.

They will absolutely smother the wings and counter from there, so the centre is where you can get at them. We really failed to do this last time or last season. Most other teams do it naturally because they don't have the quality wide players we have so don't try place everything wide.

I get the feeling we've been in energy conservation mode the last few weeks. The team selection V Spuds was a reflection of how important the remaining League games are. I fully expect a return to full on mode and don't envisage too many problems. And we owe them one. This could be 4-0 City.
Come on you Blues
