I recommend you look at their goals against column.

I understand that but they play very differently against the top sides and are generally difficult opponents.

Especially when you remember leicester scored 5 of the 13.

Played well tonight, not at our best still, but still brushed aside a difficult opponent, on a day when we could have easily messed up.

Have to admit, I had abit of nerves going up against Crystal Palace. Thought we might edge out a grindy 1-0. Fantastic all-round performance from the team.

Anyone doubted Sterling when he walked up for the free-kick? I know I did, a little. But what a free-kick. Seemed like a proper response after his penalty miss.

Remember back in October and November there were all those threads declaring how much we suck and how bad Pep has got and how it's time to move him on and how we were past it and how we were on decline and how we wouldn't win anything this season and ho....

There were a lot of people saying similar. Personally I thought our admittedly mediocre performances at the time were a bit worrying but were as much to do with the unpredictability of what is clearly not a normal season and that when things settled down we’d start to see a big improvement. Of course, I could’ve been well off with that and even though that improvement is now there for all to see I’m urging caution as it could all go pear-shaped again. I do think Pep has been playing the long game this season though and that might just prove to be a masterplan

In fairness, there's never anything really wrong with pointing out a few things are awry and given what happened last season you're concerned there's going to be a downward trend. Right or wrong there would have been a discussion to be had.

But the fact was it was done by so many with such doom. The over the top reactions and bet wetting over every aspect of the club was infuriating to read.
