Crystal Palace (h) post-match thread

There were a lot of people saying similar. Personally I thought our admittedly mediocre performances at the time were a bit worrying but were as much to do with the unpredictability of what is clearly not a normal season and that when things settled down we’d start to see a big improvement. Of course, I could’ve been well off with that and even though that improvement is now there for all to see I’m urging caution as it could all go pear-shaped again. I do think Pep has been playing the long game this season though and that might just prove to be a masterplan
I think after the 1-1 draw with West Brom on Dec 15th it seemed like the league season was likely all over, especially when it was one of 10 games coming up that we pretty much had to win, some were predicting <20 from that 30 points, as it stands we have 16/18.

Quality. Can’t grumble about anything at all.
Oh and if anyone wants to know what this weeks dodgy far east bet was... foul throws... never any a weekend in the prem yet one at liverpool and one at us today.
I didn’t think that was a foul throw, the ref must be in on the bet.

Just waiting for the media criticism about us not having a ‘striker’.
Errr does it really matter if we smash in 4 goals a game???

Fantastic display. Four great goals and outstanding performances all over the pitch. After the last two home games against Palace, I wasn't very confident pre-match, but then, I rarely am.

We're looking more and more solid at the back with evert game.

Fernandinho rolled back the years and patrolled the area in front of the back four like he was ten years younger. Kevin was his usual brilliant best. The pass for the opener was one to rival Riyad's against Birmingham. Some of his other passes were also out of the top drawer. Ilkay's goal was beautiful, as was Raheem's, which was a very well worked move.

I know we have to take one game at a time, but all our rivals must be very worried.

Finally, John and Rúben are off to Washington, D. C. to defend the Capitol!

Some proper sloppy placentas on here.
