Palace have come away with a decent result in their last two visits to City. No doubt they’ll play a deep block and try and hit us on the counter. Zags, Eze and even Townsend can trouble us on the counter.

The one thing that has improved over the last few months is our creativity. Our defence has been excellent but not we’re creating more, the problem is our finishing is dire.

We lack finishers, so much so that Foden is our top scorer. Sterling, Bernardo, Mahrez, Jesus and KDB have missed a significant amount of high quality chances so far this season. If we’re to sustain a title challenge then we have to start converting chances.

If we take 1/3 of our chances against Palace we’ll win comfortably enough.

Fatso Mason is always the opposition’s best defender when City play as he routinely waddles directly into our inside left passing lane and is too slow and stupid to step back even five yards. Been going on for years
It’s not just that, he is also right up there with Altrincham Anthony for consistently baffling decisions against us

So all four games on Sunday are on Sky ... usually whenever they have two or three games on Sunday, they setup the studio/set at the ground of the last game and start the Sunday by talking about that and then move on to the first one and take them game by game and end up at the last game ... kind of makes sense too ...

Any guesses though why this won’t be the case this Sunday and they’d all be wanking elsewhere and that’s where they’d be starting talking from and about and that’s where they’d end ... would absolutely love it if that game is a bore 0-0 and all of them while scratching their heads which of the two to declare title favourites would still declare them two as the best two teams in the land and declare city’s troubles have comeback citing Brighton game and only a narrow 1-0 win that we could manage ... and then later City go and smash Palace 4-0 and they’re all left with eggs on their face.
Such as shame we couldn't go top with a draw in the Ryanair derby and a win for us.

It will be a tough game, but one thing is standing out at the minute for me..and that is our defence is solid and not letting in goals like headless chickens.

2-0 win for us I reckon

I still have nightmares about Zaha running down their left flank with minutes to go and banging in a speculative cross that was turned expertly into his own goal by Fernandinho. They deserved nothing from that match but came away with a point, typical City has never really left us has it?

That was my last visit to the Etihad, really looking forward to the time when that memory can be replaced by something rather happier.

Liverpool also got destroyed by Aston Villa and they are second, Leicester beat Southampton 9-0 too these things happen. Crystal Palace set up completely different to Manchester City than they would Aston Villa completely different approach.
It's going to be a tough game, On their day they can cause an upset because they have players in the team that can punish you.
Plus they got points off us at The Etihad in the last two occasions.
I do think we will win the game but we have to beat down a bus and be clever stopping the counter attacks.

I mean the week before they played Villa they lost 7-0 to Liverpool too, so don't think the argument they will set up differently against us is valid really.

I don't think Townsend is going to score the goal of his life against us again and its certainly not something we should worry about!

3-2, Sterling will score a hat trick of penalties.

Whatever Pep says to the media, he'd have drilled him a new one behind the curtains ... Sterling's not going anywhere near our penalties anytime soon, he has already had his hat-trick ... of misses now, with his last three in a row missed.
