Anyone not into football watching our games must wonder how we make the art of scoring goals look so complicated yet so easy for the opponents.
There are too many technical players in our team and not enough with a killer instinct.
We lack pace and creativity and what we do create we do not have anyone to finish bar Haaland and even he is missing chances galore this season.
We lost Peps assistant to Leicester, i wonder if our coaching regime needs to be looked at as out defending was pretty solid last season but has turned to a joke this, despite spending a fortune on Gvardiol but its the complete lack of firepower and putting our chances away that is costing us most, all the recent home draws should have been games over by half time but we are too easy to play against these days, just let us have the ball as we wont do much with it and counter us with 1 simple long ball and any shot will result in a goal.
Our fitness leaves a lot to be desired also, we looked gassed after 65 minutes yet nearly all were rested in midweek and Newcastle had no issues today despite also playing in midweek with more of thier 1st team

It was so predictable what was going to happen. Complete lack of movement in the front line, slow, predictable, no urgency, passing for passing sake, and unable to defend well enough when put under any sort of pressure.

Complacency and lack of concentration cost us again. How many late goals now?

Ederson was poor. Was a bit lucky to see yellow.

Walker is a disappointment this season. Him trying to create chances around the box is hopeless. We don't need his pace in most games, and when we need it his positioning is bad, see their first goal today.

Gvardiol is new to the league. Doesn't offer enough in attack.

Foden showed why Pep is reluctant to play him in midfield: lacks awareness.

Lewis did well. If we are honest, he should be involved a lot more, though.

Alvarez isn't fresh.

Pep should have made changes after 2:1.

Doesn't look good. Kind of expected that we weren't going on a winning run. Will be very difficult. IF we win the league, it will be by 1-2 pts or on GD. I think we are going to win, but it's not easy to be optimistic, given how many points we have lost from winning positions.

winning the league is based on KDB coming back and staying 100% fit. without him i dont think we’re good enough

Again it doesn't stop the indivual mistakes. Stones could have had a shocker if he was brought on.

But someone who is tired is maybe more likely to make mistakes? I don't know - it's all hindsight i guess.

Making substitutions still wouldn't have erradicated any indivdiual errors in the team.

Eh? That’s exactly what substitutions does. Tired players make far more unforced errors and this team is absolutely shattered right now.
