Crystal Palace Thread - 2022/23

I really hope they don't bring back that dour, charmless old fossil. I have always disliked him and his brand of hoofball.
Don't forget this is the man who, when he was England coach, famously said 'If Wooney had a bwoken leg he'd still be the first name on the team sheet.' This is the man who employed Ratboy to train the defenders at Euro 2016 against Iceland, in particular the long throw-ins they used to great effect. Then England concede from a long throw-in and subsequently are knocked out of the tournament.

I sincerely hope that morose fucker never manages in this country again.

Why would anyone want uncle woy back? He is going to bring no new ideas, no new tactical plans nothing he wasnt doing in the 80s/90s so there has to be another reason for resurecting a Dinosaur manager .
Hodgson going back would be a damn site more exciting than the dross served up under Vieira. What a mind numbing era at Palace this was, City were more exciting under Pearce.

He might be old but Palace were better to watch under Hodgson. They weren’t finishing any higher up than they are presently in the table but they have just been so boring under Vieira.

Disgraceful decision. Patrick Vieira revolutionised how they played. They failed to back him and their attack lacks a focal point and quality. They had an easier run of fixtures to come as well. Pathetic and cowardly snd deserve to go down with decisions like that.
By revolutionised, do you mean find a way to cure insomnia?

They were more boring to watch than their fans’ chants are to listen to.

With the complete lack of investment Paddy V was doing as good a job as he could, you can argue over the teams dourness, but really the players are bang average and their isn't an exciting forward line to watch, Parrish is a twat and really would be funny if they go down after being in a safe posiition plodding along.

Alsi I wouldn't miss them or their wank ground

Hodgson’s team was mind-numbing. He’s the last thing they need. Barely a plan-A, much less a plan-B, and they need goals which his side was famous for lacking.

If Woy comes back, they go down, and deservedly so. I guess Parish was desperate to be involved in the relegation dog fight again.

Just before they play Arsenal as well. Let's hope the players hated him behind the scenes and show a reaction on Sunday.
On Viera he was doing well when he first went there I'm not sure why it all went wrong.
He supposedly had a great rapport with the squad

Palace sack their manager just in time to sail their rudderless ship into the Emirates and gift the Goons three points , you do need a modicum of luck to win a league title but the Goons have recieved some very good fortune over the last few weeks , even bottling the Europa league has worked in their favour.

We will stuff the Goons youth team at the Ethiad in a few weeks , so in reality it is a two point difference , Arteta will have to win at least nine of the other ten games to be in with a shout ,because we are just clicking into gear at the right time
