Liverpool beat Chelsea and I expect us to drop points here.

If Chelsea manage to get a win(can't see it) i expect us to click in to gear and get the 3 points.

Pretty much how I see it going down, which is stupid because Palace are just as capable of beating Liverpool, or drawing, and Newcastle also managing a draw. A Liverpool win isn't the end of the race unless our players see it as an easy way out.

This one highly unlikely. Not because Newcastle are on the beach (we know ourselves that the final match is the hardest regardless of who you are playing) but because Liverpool will get every bleeding call in that game - it will put our game with them into the pale. The ref will know he won't get out of there alive if he doesn't.

Going to be very very very tough with no Silva.

He is creativity personified.

Just for the record. No Silva in the team:

Stoke away 0-0

Villa away 2-3

Sunderland away 0-1

Soton away 1-1

Sunderland home 2-2

The last 20 last night!

Absolutely right - and you could also include the Bayern home game, where Silva came on late and we looked a different side.

Against that, to be fair, the Villa and Sunderland results were down to poor defending more than lack of offensive thrust, and a 1-1 draw at Southampton was not a bad result. If Aguero and Yaya in particular step up and we defend solidly, no reason we can't get a result at Palace and at Everton sans Silva.

Also without Silva in the team:
Scum home won 4-1
Spurs home won 6-0

True, and it's all very subjective. It's just that without him we more often than not do not create any momentum.

Let's hope I am proved completely wrong and we run out comfortable winners :-)

With or without Silva we should be beating Palace. He is a key player, there is no doubt. But with all due respect to Palace it is not Barcelona we are playing. If Jovetic, Nasri, Navas or whoever else cannot break down their defence then we have real problems. They will try to battle us physically and counter attack. Traditionally we seem to struggle against teams that do that. The first goal will be crucial. I think Jovetic will be a key man. He can create chances like Silva would be is also a goal threat. We are likely to control possession but rather than stand still and expect we need to stretch their defence with lots of movement.
