CSKA Moscow Away Behind Closed Doors?

Re: CSKA Moscow Away

It doesn't seem right that the away fans are punished for the home team's inadequacies

Also, in this case, it was the CSKA away fans causing trouble in Roma therefore logic dictates they should be banned from travelling to their next away game instead?

However UEFA and logic are Russians apart.

Re: CSKA Moscow Away

Sent to Supporter Services today.

Would it be possible to obtain any plan of action that Manchester City supporter services would put into action if UEFA take the decision on Friday to ensure that the remaining CSKA games in Moscow are played behind closed doors.

I am asking this as many of us would still be travelling due to the money paid out on the required visa plus air fare so non-attendance would be in nobodies interest considering the expenditure.

As Uefa is an established corporate organisation rather than a fan friendly organisation I would expect that television rights would be protected so better to upset a few hundred fans rather than their paymasters. It would be nice if all City fans attending the game (or not) would be able to congregate in one place if not the stadium to watch the game.

Hopefully UEFA will prove everybody wrong and become fan-friendly.

Well done. I sent in a very similar email today also. Three of us will also be travelling regardless of the decision.

What most annoys me is that CSKAs game in Rome was two weeks ago. At that stage we had only paid for our (very cheap) air fares. If there had been a quick announcement that we would play behind closed doors we could have written that off, but since then we've had to pay for visas and accommodation and it's too much to just toss away.

I'm watching very carefully now what UEFA decide and how City respond. If we're banned, and City follow it up with a statement saying don't travel, with no acknowledgement of the financial commitment we have all had to make I would find that very hard to accept.

Just had an email from Thomson sport advertising cska trip, first thing I've had from them, surely they wouldn't send these put if game is to be played behind closed doors

Tickets for matches in Italy are sold personally, with passports and stuff, right? I just can't understand 1 thing - WHY CAN'T THEY find those who's did all this and punish them personally? Some say it were provokers from Poland...
Anyway, if uefa and police wanted to do it all properly and fair, they were (and still are) able to
