Re: CSKA Moscow v City (Wednesday 23 October)

If they've moved the Plzen game to the Eduard Streltsov stadium, i'm sure if they're moving ours that it'll be moved here aswell.

They haven't moved the Plzen game to the Streltsov stadium. They have moved two CSKA league games there to try and help the state of the pitch, for champs league they have already nominated Krasnodar as the alternative venue (south of russia, better weather) so Streltsov isn't an option for champs league.

Nothing official on the Plzen game for next week yet.

Re: CSKA Moscow v City (Wednesday 23 October)

the Streltsov is even bigger a mess than Khimki currently, no way UEFA gives it a pass. i start to think that the only possibility to keep those games relatively close to Moscow is the Saturn stadium in Ramenskoye.

Re: CSKA Moscow v City (Wednesday 23 October)

No decision has been made yet for Plzen match. Khimki was already declared unfit to play on 2nd Oct between CSKA vs Plzen and Krasnodar option was rejected due to Kuban vs Valencia will play on Krasnodar stadium the next day (3rd Oct).
IMO, CSKA vs City can still play at Khimki if there is no more heavy rain but who knows. And 1 week before the match they will declare whether fit to play. If not Krasnodar is the first option unfortunately. It will ruin all our travel plan, Krasnodar is 1000 km away from Moscow.

I was rather hoping that CSKA Moscow would be sorting out somewhere suitable to play :-)

This would be preferable to Krasnodar, but I think Anzhi are playing there on the Thursday so I don't think that's an option as the away team have to train the night before. Is the lokomotiv stadium not an alternative?

I got told that once you choose your first venue, you then have to play the remaining games in the same venue. Not sure how true it is though.

Re: CSKA Moscow v City (Wednesday 23 October)

How does that affect our visas if the match is moved to Krasnodar ? Because your hotel won't be the one you've declared you're staying at and the region / City you're visiting won't be as declared. Could the Russians get a bit arsey and declare your visa invalid?

Re: CSKA Moscow v City (Wednesday 23 October)

Has anybody who's a company director managed to get a visa? The requirements are a struggle, especially with the timeframe needed. If anybody has got one I'd be interested to know how you did it.
