Went with England a few years back,£55 a visa then, depends on the length of your stay.
Can be expensive but you can also find plenty of cheap bars.
On the day of the match none stop fighting,I think mainly down to them wanting to fight England.
Not sure if I want to go back.
Was an hilarious trip,
Mad as f**k ;)

was at the game too, we did the day trip, memorable for the journey from Domedevo airport to the City (26 miles) taking 3 hours! We got 45 mins in Red Square, and the underground is a nightmare to suss out! For Blues who haven't been, don't underestimate the sheer size of the place, it makes London look like a village in comparison. If you have the opportunity to go, then do so, wont be too often we play in Moscow, be safe.........mcfctogether

Anyone recommend any hotels
Novotel Moscow Center on Novoslobodskya is modern and within walking distance of Moscow Metro on Circle Line. Good value and the main floor bar has a bar menu which is better value than eating in the restaurant. There are also bars and restaurants close by so you don't have to eat in hotel if you don't want to.
Moscow Metro is one of the largest underground train systems and has some of the fastest underground trains I have ever been on anywhere in the world. It is also the busiest and cheapest. The signs are a nightmare, so you need to know where you are going and count your stations.

Re: CSKA Moscow v City (Wednesday 23 October)

Oh! 1st of all, my emotions are undescribable. I'm from Moscow and I'll see my first Man City game live! I've been waiting for it more than 3 years! So, I'd like to get all aviable from City's visit to Moscow - Meeting the team at the airport, at a hotel, meet english fans, it'd be interesting to talk with you guys, even though my english is on the Яussian comrad level :). And, of course, i gonna finally visit my first City game! I hope to be with away fans at visitors stand (or how does it called). Here start my questions - I wrote to the MCFC tickets service, and a guy from support adviced me to contact CSKA (to buy tickets for home seats? Or maybe there's a chance to buy away tickets from CSKA? Don't think so, but it seems like most of you have a huge experience in visiting away european matches, so, maybe I'm wrong), as MCFC would get a small allocation and all of tickets gonna be sold quickly. But, I've read on this forum that last season it was absolutely aviable to buy a ticket to the visitors stand, even near the stadium (<a class="postlink-local" href="http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=280457" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=2&t=280457</a>). But I'm not going to give up, buying away ticket for the game. So, could someone of you help me with this? It would be great, if someone of you could sell me an excess ticket :) And, as someone has written in those topic, there should be walk before the match and some other stuff - like meeting the team at the airport, so I'd be happy to participate in it!

About the match and Khimki Stadium - I'm living on the South of Moscow and CSKA's stadium is located on the opposite edge of Moscow - it's something less then 40 km of way from my home (not straight).

On the north, near Khimki, there's Sheremetievo airport with 4-5 terminals (They're building new too quickly, and, as I haven't flyied for 3 years, I really don't know how much they have on the moment), so, I hope, you'll fly there, but Domodedovo is better in my opinion and it's located nearer to me.

P.S. I can help you by some advice about Moscow, russian football and things kinda that anyway, just ask)

Re: CSKA Moscow v City (Wednesday 23 October)

Anyone know what the Visa situation is for people with criminal records?

I've got a caution for Criminal Damage from 2008.

Will this stop me from obtaining a visa?
Do the Russians have access to our criminal records?

Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks

I will buy an extra ticket for you. I apply through OSC branch. I need for myself 3 tickets but buy 4.
I think no problem. I will PM you if any.
See you there.
