Going out on the Wednesday coming back late Thursday

Although someone on here reckons five and a half hours won't be enough to get to the game from the airport

Which airport are you flying into? And are you planning on walking to the stadium?

the airport that easyjet flies in to, i think it's in Kiev

Karaganda, I thought.

Should take 45 mins into Moscow and 1 and a half to stadium I think? Time to check in probably, depending on hotel location.

Don't forget to add £100+ for your Russian VISA to your air fare and accommodation. Reckon it can't be done for less than £600 without slumming it!!!

Can get a rtn flight Sunday 20th until Sun 27th with Easyjet from Manchester for £79.00 at the mo. Hostels £15 - £30 a night depending on room size and quality ( a lot look like the one we met you in , in Kiev) visa £77. Week off work and plenty of time to take in Moscow and drink Vodka!!!

not travel related but it looks like honda is off to milan - good news

no way. they may get around 5 mil for him now, but after selling him their chances of making the playoffs (which would pay off much better) dwindle. they are better off keeping him.

he's in milan this afternoon

But he managed to return in time for the 17:00 GMT start of the CSKA league match? :)

I tip my hat to any of my fellow Blues going to this one. I'd love to do it, quite fancy giving Russia a visit, but with all the visa stuff and a lack of flight options, it's not feasible for me.

I'm being a wimp and going for the easy option- Munich.

Will keep an eye on this thread though as I'm genuinely interested in how people make it there etc.

For those who have time, St. Petersburg is worth visit, winter palace, summer palace, lot of museums, ballet and opera, nice view of city, gardens, cannel and bridges, no traffic jam, romantic places for lover and if you don't have yet just find one on the trip LOL.

Just discussed with missus, We definitely go. She will ask Etihad friends for staff ticket. Moscow is boring city for me but no need visa, free accom with in-law, cheap air ticket, chance to watch City play, how can I resist.
