Daily Fail and the Mancini era ....

One small detail. Nigel gets paid less at Milan than he did here.

You mean the silly sod with a year left on his contract left for less money? Or less money then the new contract he was offered? The one we were endlessly talking about on here with the whole Kia is his adviser thing? Should have done an Ade.

No wonder he's pissed. I'd sack the agent and his adviser for that deal. Course he might have got a fat signing on fee to compensate. Known to happen I believe.

Mind you it does make you wonder what anyone else did at the club since Mancini seemed to have a hand in just about everything :)

He left for game time rather than be bench player. Possibly did get a s.o.f but that's neither here nor there, he would have got s.o.f if he re-signed here.

De Jong isn't the same cloth as Adebayor, I don't know why you bring that **** into the equation.

When few of us were saying that these two are made from absolute same stuff few months ago, there was no kind of abuse that wasn't launched in our direction. And "Abu Dhabi wants class, not Mourinho" line was most popular one.

Thats nice. Not sure I care but thanks for sharing that your feelings were hurt.

Anyway they are very similar characters. Actually they are both very political animals. As is Benitez. Which is one of the reasons why none of them figure in our plans.

I'm very touched with your kind words, that's exactly what I needed in these hard moments. It's not important if you care, it's important I have someone like you to listen :)

Ah this is better. Peace and love to you as well brother :)

Oh yes. I remember know. He was a squad/bench player. Ah who cares why Mancini got rid then.

De Jong was and is better than Barry.

Ah another round of 'revelations' and it seems our Nige wasn't kicking up a fuss over not getting parity with other top earners when he declined to sign the new contract that was offered. All the speculation in the press and on here and the involvement of Kia was for naught. It was Mancini all along who bundled him out the door in the dead of the night for a bigger contract in Milan. The swine.

Anyway its going to be an interesting read when someone finally prints the story of the Mancini era at City. I would be intrigued to know when Mancini figured his time was up and what that 'mystery trip to Abu Dhabi a while back was all about and a host of other titbits.

Another thing that has struck me is the similarity between Mancini and Mourinho at their respective clubs. Both there 3 years (ish). Both won the league last year over their fiercest rivals. Both had a less than stellar title defence. Both ended up losing the cup final. Both had squad unrest. Both went to war with the hierarchy or at least were at odds with them. Spooky stuff.

As I said to TCM, come back to me when Mancini wins a treble.

Well that's you. IMO they were right and Mancini moving was/is best for the club.

If you're at work and you lose faith in a manager and you don't feel he treats you with adequate respect and other jobs were available I'm sure you'd look at changing jobs or would speak to company boss to sort it out, why is this any different?

No I wouldnt. I've worked for bosses I dont like and would never dream of giving my employers a "him or me" ultimatum.

I've never left a job because I dont get on with a boss but would do so before shit stirring.

Well I'd look for an easy work life and I'd call my gaffer out before I moved. I'd thrash out with him and then take above him if I couldn't sort it.

Mancini isn't as big a loss and many of you believe, we did well under him but this season we haven't. In time you will come round, I promise.
There's no need for me to come around as I stated he lost the dressing room for a while now. Doesn't mean the club should just smile while players tell them what to do. I'm fairly certain by performances who some of the gentle souls are who were so distraught. I'm also fairly certain considering some of our known transfer targets are that those players will find playing time rightly at a minimum if things work out as hoped. Don't feel any sympathy either. I only hopes it negatively impacts their national team chances too.

The club didn't have to listen to players. They just needed to look at our inept showings in Europe and Mancini's comments about Hart and Richards after their comments (when both talked sense) and then looked at our wage bill which is equal to Barcas and Reals yet he asked for more players. Player fall outs added to matters rather than being the be and end all imho.

Anyway, will leave it there for tonight. Hopefully one day we will learn the truth. Sleep well Blue.

It's kind of hard to not talk about Mancini when he is the subject matter for the players unhappiness! Fact of matter is as I've said all along, it was no coincidence that many players lost form at the same time. He pushed them wrongly and they snapped, he lost them, they lost faith in him with man management and criticism, and on field strategies and tactics. That's why they said him or me. Some simply felt a change was needed, either the club change manager or they move to a club where they will get treated better and do better. No hard to understand.

Which is pretty much what happened at Madrid. The players didn't like the way Jose was pushing them. They snapped and lost faith and the wheels come off. Its the same with Mancini he kept pushing and players ended up pushing back. At Madrid the players rule and at City...do the players rule?

Or is it simply Ferran and Txiki making sure they rule and the players are the means to that end. Pellers is their man with a more restricted remit than Mancini. Its going to be an interesting dynamic but my money is on Ferran And Txiki calling the shots. Clearly ADUG have invested in Ferran and Txiki and whilst they have the owners faith the players will not be empowered by this. Just my view.

Anyway its been fun. Its still a PR balls up of epic proportions. Ferran and Txiki are not covering themselves in glory when it comes to media management but they should have it our of their systems come the start of next season. Well lets hope so anyway.

I'm speaking more of the texts and such. Can't imagine the players purposefully throwing the final. Well... I can imagine it but it makes my blood boil, so might as well not go down that path. Good night to you too, Blue. Tomorrow is another game.

-- Sat May 18, 2013 7:44 pm --

I think they should hope this transfer season goes smoothly too. We need some positivity.

why is it slanderous
Because someone suggested that I was being briefed by someone at the club as to what to post on here. That's completely false and damaging to my reputation. Hence it's potentially slanderous. I'd also like to say that this poster has be pm'ing me calling me out over calling another poster a rag, which I was wrong on and apologised for. So will he do the same thing?

yes I already did, on the Mancini poster thread - crikey did you want it here too? Sorry PB my error - now, is it just these 2 or any others? And yes I can also see that you apologised to the poster that you incorrectly called "a rag", so thank you for that as well
Thanks for that. Matter now closed.

It really has been a shit week or so hasn't it? Hopefully we're back on the up. I think there are exciting times to come over the next few years. Let's look forward to that rather than bickering about the past.
