Daily Fail and the Mancini era ....

Ged Coyne saying on Twitter that players basically kicked Mancini out of the dressing room in the FA Cup 2011 semis vs. United and Vieira did the team talk. LOL.

Believe people are grasping at straws trying to suggest the players deliberately didn't put in the effort just to get Bobby the boot. They deliberately got to the final so they could throw it just for effect?
If this really was there mentality why we would have come 2nd? Surely we'd have lost our opening 10 fixtures and got him the boot then.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories but its possible that there was a difference between the semi and the final. The players probably didn't have wind of any of this in April and knew they had to answer to the manager if they put in a shite performance. But the rumours going around last Saturday morning changed the dynamic and it would only take four or five players to be givinh less than their best to trash the performances of the rest of the players out there. Could even have been subconscious for some of them.

Just saying.

Wigan scored in the 90th minute. If our players can manipulate results that well I expect to win every game next year, assuming he players like the new manager that is

You're missing the point here. We should have not been 0-0 with an injury wracked Wigan side by the time the 90th minute rolled around. And it wasn't just the scoreline. It was the ridiculously sub standard performance and the fact that we could have played until midnight and not scored.

Love the sources of 'a player' 'a well placed source' 'a different player'.

I don't believe for a second they would keep the identities a secret if these were actual legitimate things that happened. For example if Joe Hart hated Mancini and told a journalist so I'm 99% sure the next day a story would be 'HART WANTS MANCINI OUT'. Some of these nobs would sacrifice their first born to get a good story, no way would they try to stay matey with players.

Ged Coyne's twitter feed isn't exactly for the lighthearted. very interesting stuff though (if true, he still seems very bitter about losing his job to me so I don't believe everything he writes)

Its not about grasping at straws. The article infers that this is what happened. This is what people will be reading. 95% of what the papers report may be shit but people believe shit.

And others will follow down this route and who do you think the main target will be? City or Mancini? This is a war we cannot win and it is rank stupidity to even start it.

& what for Everton, Southampton etc that people are mentioning was there rumours around on those occassions aswell? Your entitled to your opion as i am mine and i just put it down to players having a bad game it happens to the best of em, i think the team over achieved under the circumstances. These players maybe on multi million pound contracts but there still human at the end of the day.
