Your lack of knowledge and sizeable ego have clouded your judgment. If you want to believe trainers don't run horses over the wrong trip and ground for fitness and educational purposes then go ahead and think that. The reality is different. I'll play devils advocate for a second, knowing Collateral's optimum conditions are 1m on soft ground (and anyone with basic racing knowledge or the ability to read a horses form will confirm that) why would he be entered in a race like this, with peanuts prize money, in totally the wrong conditions? What other reason then getting a run into him can you give for that decision?
