IF its all on the all weather then I might knock the Scoop 6 on the head this weekend. I am surprised they dont use the Irish meetings in cases like this. As more than likely there will be at least 1 jumps meeting they could use.

still three meetings on tomorrow ( so far ) Kempton,Lingfield and Meydan.

how about pick two from each or if it goes down to two meetings pick three.

Difficult to define 'greatest', but for me it's about your individual perception. Different aspects of the way a horse runs are rated more highly by some than others e.g. for some it's all about winning, for others about the other horses you beat or the way a horse battles when under pressure. I thought that to watch Frankel accelerate was a privilege and he's certainly the 'greatest' I've ever seen. When I saw my eight year old lad jumping up and down, shouting Frankel on, I knew the horse was something special.

yeah its tough like pound for pound debate in boxing,i read the seabiscuit book and a few years after seabiscuit had stopped racing his jockey rode a horse that broke seabiscuits records and when asked if its the best horse he has ever ridden the jockey replied "no seabiscuit is"
anyway anyone got any winners for today? and please dont say yeah Ladbrokes and william hills

Greatest horse dont make me laugh. A great miler granted but never tested over the longer distance until its last few races. Theres some brilliant horses that I would love to see running against each other.
A race with Sea The Stars , Galileo and even Rock Of Gibraltar would be a great virtual race to see. I just think the standards of the horses Frankel raced against wasnt that good in my opinion.
Standard wasn't that good? I'll find the numbers out but it's something like 60 group 1 wins between the horses he has beat. So what if he wasn't tested at 1.5+ all horses are bred for distance would you like to see Long Run over 7f? Nope.

Whatever. You can bring up any stat you like and it wont change my mind. The greatest horse come on mate. I have rolled out a number of horses there that were tested over distances in a much shorter space of time than Frankel and won well.

Frankel is unquestionably the greatest horse of all time,Leighton.
I don't know of one single person in the racing community who doesn't think this, and the ratings don't lie.
Those three you mentioned above would not even make the top 50 greatest ever.
You are fully entitled to think otherwise, but you would still be wrong.
Many issues in racing come down to personal opinion, but this isn't really one of them,as absolutely everyone is in agreement, except you.

Nij as you said its all about opinions. I think your taking the piss to say the Sea The Stars , Galileo and Rock Of Gibraltar wouldnt make the 50 greatest ever. The ratings are over rated in my opinion and I stand by that and will always do so.

How can the ratings be over rated? So for example if Galileo was number 1 would you say they were over rates then? Sorry mate I respect your opinion alot in racing but Frankel is king.

It is pretty amazing that prince khalid abdulla has first and second in the all time ratings
And tbh i just couldnt argue about it

Dancing brave in second place was another great great horse, hadnt been for a terrible ride by starkey he would of won the derby for sure

I think frankels rating of 140 will be there for the next 50 years.

Greville Starkey's ride on Dancing Brave was the joint-worst Derby ride I've ever seen, along with Pat Eddery's stinker on El Gran Senor in 1984.
Christy Roche rode a blinder on Secreto, but how Eddery lost that race I'll never know.
Apparently the ratings are overrated though,so it's ok to think that Collateral Damage is better than Brigadier Gerard if you want.
