Nij as you said its all about opinions. I think your taking the piss to say the Sea The Stars , Galileo and Rock Of Gibraltar wouldnt make the 50 greatest ever. The ratings are over rated in my opinion and I stand by that and will always do so.

How can the ratings be over rated? So for example if Galileo was number 1 would you say they were over rates then? Sorry mate I respect your opinion alot in racing but Frankel is king.

Galileo was a brilliant horse as was Georgewashington go on to youtube and look at Georgewashington the commentators were saying the greatest horse they have ever seen about George. Frankel raced longer then the others I have mentioned but I will stand by what I say. IF your on about ratings then what is Black Caviar by the time thats finished it must be rated more than Frankel as it has knocked up so many wins.

I know your a big george washington fan mate but he was a long long way behind frankel and tbh most mulitple group one winners from the past
6 wins out of 14 races is a poor return for a supposed superstar horse,and his final rating of about 123 was about right
He couldnt even win as a 4 year old being beaten in every race,granted he came back into racing after firing blanks
Even after his brilliant 2000 guiness win he was beaten in the next 2 races

And the best 2000 guiness win ive seen after frankel would be Zafonic,again Khalid abdulla :)
 
Well then man with your logic Black Caviar can't be a great or what ever because she only races over 5f to 7f. For some reason to be a great you have to race over many distances even though you were not bred for that. BC is a brilliant brilliant horse no doubt about that and will be up there on ratings but the way Frankel beat G1 horses with ease take Excelabration - a wonderful horse and he never got close. You cant say the rating don't matter because if they were in your favour you'd say they matter. And its not the number of wins you could race a horse in sellers and win everyone its the horses he is beating.
 
Anyone back Hugh Taylors tips on atr ?,from results ive seen he is doing ok just recently.
