Daily Horse Racing \ Tipping thread

My bets today. 2 lucky 15s.
Meydan
2.30 Not A Given
3.05 Naqshabban
4.15 The Reaper
4.50 Glass Office

Thurles
2.10 Roi Du Mee
2.40 Tarla
3.40 Away We Go
4.10 Freneys Well

Decent racing in Ireland today over the jumps some Cheltenham runners on show too.
I always like Meydan and the carnival just love it to see some nice horses going and always a decent price winner on show.

The greatest.

Difficult to define 'greatest', but for me it's about your individual perception. Different aspects of the way a horse runs are rated more highly by some than others e.g. for some it's all about winning, for others about the other horses you beat or the way a horse battles when under pressure. I thought that to watch Frankel accelerate was a privilege and he's certainly the 'greatest' I've ever seen. When I saw my eight year old lad jumping up and down, shouting Frankel on, I knew the horse was something special.

yeah its tough like pound for pound debate in boxing,i read the seabiscuit book and a few years after seabiscuit had stopped racing his jockey rode a horse that broke seabiscuits records and when asked if its the best horse he has ever ridden the jockey replied "no seabiscuit is"
anyway anyone got any winners for today? and please dont say yeah Ladbrokes and william hills

Greatest horse dont make me laugh. A great miler granted but never tested over the longer distance until its last few races. Theres some brilliant horses that I would love to see running against each other.
A race with Sea The Stars , Galileo and even Rock Of Gibraltar would be a great virtual race to see. I just think the standards of the horses Frankel raced against wasnt that good in my opinion.

unlucky for me yesterday with easydoesit being a NR. La estrella 2nd.

today i'll be having a dabble with
Master Of The Seas - Wincanton 1:50
Roi Du Mee - Thurles 2.10

good luck all.

Once again, I'll go along with your 1.50 Wincanton choice Master of the Sea 3/1
Brick Red will be odds on in 3.20 at Wincanton so offers better value.

GL if having a gamble today.

Come on leighton i know you love frankel
I really dont think it would matter which horse you put in front of frankel from any era
He would of simply destroyed them from 7 furlongs to 1 mile 2
Maybe over a mile an half he may have struggled and just won by only 4 or 5 lengths :)

Also I forgot about George Washington that was a brilliant horse who was shooting blanks and talk about excelleration it had it in bags and bags a really great horse. Granted its return didnt work off but a great horse as well that would of been brilliant to see as his kick was lethal as well.

well Master Of The Seas did us okay, shame about Roi Du Mee.
I couldn't put my money on Red Brick. its a stupid rule but anything that could be related to united doesn't get my money.

I did this with a horse called 'Miss United' didn't put a penny on it everytime I seen it. it went on to win 5 in a row. silly me!
A quick one i've just seen Tour D'Argent in the 3:00 at Lingfield. he's 8/15 on, but if you find another horse you like and double it up it could be okay. he's classy at hurdles and with Barry Geraghty on board its a plus.
He'll go on to lose now i've bigged him up!
