Off to Pontefract today.

Any deeeecent tips?

I fancy Mr Wolf to turn over Port Ronan due to weight changes (Had a nice return on the latter at the last meet)

I seen Coolmore have bought Canford Cliffs for there stud after it retired. Thats were the real money is made for the big hitters.
At Coolmore there stallions for this year cost.
Alfred Nobel = €5000 a pop.
Aussie Rules = €6000 a pop
Choisir = €12,500 a pop
Danehill Dancer = €75000 a pop
Duke Of Marmalade = €25000 a pop
Dylan Thomas = €17,500 a pop
Excellent Art = €10000 a pop
Fastnet Rock = €30000 a pop
Footstepsinthesand = €10000 a pop
High Chaparral = €25000 a pop
Holy Roman Emperor = €10000 a pop
Hurricane Run = €10000 a pop
Mastercraftsman = €17,500 a pop
Montjeu = €75000 a pop
Oratorio = €9000 a pop
Peintre Celebre = €15000 a pop
Rip Van Winkle = €20000 a pop
Rock Of Gbraltar = €17,500 a pop
Starspangledbanner = €15000 a pop
Strategic Prince = €4000 a pop
Thewayyouare = €6000 a pop
Yeats = €9000 a pop
Galileo = Name there price. He sired Frankel and a number of others.

Thats were the real money is made for the Coolmore team some of the cheap 1s this season has seen a couple of group 1 winners from there crop so there fees will rise again.
Now with Canford he will start off around the €15000 a pop if he produces a couple of Group 1 winners it will rise and rise.

sorry Jay lol,i lost too:( just wait until saturday,........."this time next year we could be millionaires".......

Your right leighton the real money is in the stud farms & the best of the best was the mighty Northern Dancer..remember reading an article on his career,can you believe his stud fees started at $10'000 in the 60's and prospered to the lofty heights of $1 million in the 80's, all that for a shag...mine you he has sired just about every winner of every race worldwide & in the 1984 arc all 18 runners had his blood......A SUPERSTAR!

Its these studs that cause problems with some of the big stables out there. I remember a couple of years ago Coolmore told Godolphin to go fuck themselfs they were trying to get some of there bloodline and Coolmore didnt want anything to do with them. They even boycotted Meydan that does be on in the winter until this year for the first time Coolmore sent over a small team of horses to it. To be honest with Galileo was champion sire in 2008 and 2010 and it seems it is on its way to being champion sire this year aswell. That horse alone is just printing them money.

Just the new Sires some have made them some top money so far.
Duke Of Marmalade made €215,000 in sales for 2010 for a first time sire.
Dylan Thomas made €360,000 in sales for 2010.
Thats over a half a million euro or a half million pounds from 2 horses thats scary it makes you wonder out of the main sires how much money they all each make for them.
