Nasty from Alves. Like he's pleased he hurt City and Guardiola and does not think you can be champions. Like I said if he's this nasty youre better off without. Good riddance.

Not riled up with what he said though because technically it's true. PSG has more chance of winning Ligue 1 for years than winning the far more competitive PL.

Going to PSG pretty much gives him an easy route to winning champion medals. They only have Monaco in their way.

Still think it's to do with getting higher wages and being in Paris so they have money to spend on the LV, Goyards, Gucci, etc.

It is surely nailed on that we play PSG this year, and I can't wait to watch us smash them. Leroy will make him cry.

He's gone to play in a piss easy league and a huge pay packet.
Hope he wins fuck all and we get PSG in chumps league and fucking twat them.
Regardless of what he says he had gone for the money ( which according to him wasn't his priority ) until he got offered much more.
Alves is a proper cnut.

Does make you wonder if he's done it deliberately. You would think he had more respect than to do that but he's used us before and I see no reason why he left it so long before letting us know.

All I read into that is he was too scared to join the PL, he wants to end on a guaranteed high. Fair play to him, he's still an utter **** though

He is already a multi-millionaire. I will never understand footballers who earn 100k a week and want 150k a week which makes no different to them whatsoever.
I have a friend who is absolutely loaded, proper multi millionaire and can have whatever he wants and my boss is too. My experience of both of them is that despite both coming from humble beginnings, the more money they have, the more they want to make. It is never enough. I find it very difficult to relate to.

Yeah, everybody is different I suppose. I've chosen mates over money several times in my life. Some I've regretted, others have turned out great decisions.

You can never be too rich. Especially in a profession that dips in pay once you reach 30-35.
If you want to buy a new Lamborghini every week, then probably you are right. If you were a professional footballer in any of top 5 leagues, you could spend the rest of your life doing nothing assuming that you spend your money wisely.

Looking at the two people I mentioned, it is quite an odd phenomenon. It isn't just that they maintain the same drive to make money, that I could understand and would just put it down to their personalities. But neither of them were people who were ridiculously driven by money but the more money they have, the greater their desire to have even more money becomes. It seems illogical, you'd think as you got more and more money you'd become more and more satisfied with the amount you have but it seems that it is the complete opposite for some odd reason. It doesn't surprise me at all that footballers do what Alves has done, it doesn't make total sense to most of us but I think vast amounts of money does strange things to people.

One of the key advantages of signing an iconic 34yo player is to inspire the youngsters coming through, keen to learn from his experience. This has worked well in the past with senior additions such as Vieira, Demichelis and Lampard. But having now seen the example set by Alves, I'm pleased that our kids won't 'benefit' from the inspirational mentoring offered by this guy. There are better role models out there. Bullet dodged. Move on.

It's a psychological thing. The richer they are, the more they compare themselves to other richer people who have got more "stuff" than they do. It's human nature and I actually pitty these people.
