New reliable sauce needed.
Loan out already agreed
possibly, but more likely we pay over what we want for Walker, then fail getting a backup and use somebody within the squad available or change tactics. To a club we own. Let's not pretend we couldn't have him back tomorrow morning if we wanted.
I agree....Monaco and Spurs will be laughing!

Don't want to feed the panic but there are a lot of knock-on effects if this goes south. Average price of four full-backs shoots way up

Good chance that a move for another right-back will affect the centre-back pursuit. Not sure money stretches that far, barring big sales
Well, if they did well we would have made even more chances.
Dodged a bullet
He was a free agent cause Juve let him out of his contract a year early the reason being if we are to believe was to join up with his old mentor Pep as he loves him and has always wanted to play in Emgland and the wonderful English fans and he plays football for the love of it not the money, now if thats the case the man is an absolute cunnt of the highest order for what he's done.Football is notorious for breaking contracts by both footballers and their clubs so maybe verbal agreements are two a penny and he had offers from many quarters.
Probably his wife influenced his decision as to where they would live and strangely she chose Paris to Manchester.
Money also talks in the last couple of years of ones working life so I´m sure that impacted as well.
Of course he was pals with Pep but he is also pals with some of the PSG team so that may have played a part.
he has to put himself and his family first, but in the cirumstances it looks like he has bottled the challenge of Premiership football, and it does look like he did not have the decency to inform City and Guardiola of his decision. We're probably better off now. if he feels he can't hack the grind of playing Premiership football at his age, then good. This is a pipe and slippers job. Retirement in Le Ligue
Red or brown?
Putting up with pisstaking is part of our syche fella..Best right back in the Champion's League last year.
Knows how to work with Pep, and is a perfect fit for his system.
This stings, but resorting to "well, he was shit anyway" is stooping to rag levels.
We just have to put up with a bit of piss taking and then learn from this shit.
A gentlemen's agreement doesn't count for wank. From now on, we don't do that.
Red or brown?
The disappointing thing is we let all our full backs go before having any in the bag.
We have no full backs and this was the absolute priority last summer, never mind this.
Hopefully it will get sorted soon but we need 4!!!
I think this all sounds a little bit hysterical tbh. I would be surprised if our entire spending plans for the much needed revamp of our entire defence hinged on a verbal agreement with a 34 year old we were hoping to sign as back up on a free.
