Dani Olmo

We might not want to pay his release clause,
A slightly higher fee paid over a number of years would help with PSR.
I’m also thinking he be a perfect replacement for Bernardo should he move on.

His release clause expires on the 20th, though. We only have a few days to do it.
We acan still negotiate with RB Leipzig after his RC expires. Might have to pay a bit more for Olmo, but we have a good relationship with them and just got the Gvardiol transfer done last summer.

Point is we can't bring in Olmo until we've sorted out our current squad.

For p&l purposes his fee will be amortised across the length of his contract.

If we pay £50m all at once and sign him on a 5 yr contract then that's £10m a year expensed to the books.

If we pay them £100m over a hundred years then it's still £20m a year in the books over a 5 year contract.

A higher fee over more years might ease cashflow but I don't think we have a problem with that. A higher fee is a higher fee regardless and would impact PSR negatively.
