I'd be buzzing if we were getting Olmo. He'd add a bit of creativity in the form of being direct with his passing plus he actually has an eye for goal which would come in handy right now.

I can't see his injury record improving with the intensity of the Prem though..

I know opinions were divided on here when we were heavily linked to Olmo in the summer but that was when we looking to get him on a release clause of about £50m. If we could get him on a free surely it’s a no brainer when it’s notoriously difficult to get quality in the January window. He was excellent in the Euros and is clearly a very good player when fit, as well as being big mates with Guardiol. A gamble I would definitely take if we could make it happen.

He's better than what we've got currently. But he's no prime Kevin or David.

Good call, it suits all parties and maybe if he settles and likes it here, Bernardo goes there in the summer as part of the deal.

Paying someone a signing on fee and a monthly salary to sit in the physio room and also fill up a squad place wouldn't save us much money.
