Re: Agger announcement

Rodgers has stated on numerous occasions that he hasn't got a lot spend and in order to improve his squad he will have to sell before he can buy.

If that is the case and he is trying to hold us to ransom over the transfer fee for Agger so he can get a premium price for the player and I was Mancini I would tell Rodgers 18 Mill at the most take it or leave it.

If he doesn't accept the offer then as he said he won't have the finances available to strengthen their team but on no account should we be held to ransom by them robbing bin dippers.

the reason why some people think he doesn't want to go is because he said this when torres left

The Spaniard's move, triggered by a desire to leave Anfield, frustrated Agger. "It is unacceptable to play for one of Liverpool's arch rivals," he said. "For a Dane, it's about having respect for the club you play at. I am proud to be able to pull on my Liverpool jersey and will never go to another club in England. I would never go to Manchester United or Everton, for example. It's about a form of respect for the club.

of course, footballers talk a lot and many of us think if we do get a big bid (and maybe even if we don't), he'll be forced out to make signings. but this is why people think this, got nothing to do with us being bigger or anything, just danny is a cracking lad and if any of you watch any interviews he always says how happy he is here. (i know they all do i'm just making a point) fair play if you do get him because he's one of the best when fit and like i said, a top lad.

Never knew he said that but footballers are a fickle bunch and he might change his mind if he thinks joining us would also help Liverpool strengthen other areas while allowing him to win things himself.

I think that's why we have "reported" interest in Kjaer.

Re: Agger announcement

Why ban him even if he is wrong. Most posters on here would remember for the future how good or bad is his info. If you don't take any info at face value but do your own research whether through pms, or in the news sites it isn't too difficult to spot posters who are wumming. Banning people only leads to posters not wanting to post stuff they know because of the consequences. Treat the forum for what it is gossip, rumour and speculation. I am probably in a minority of one but I like all of it makes the place enjoyable.

Quite impressed with what Rodgers is trying to do in getting rid of the higher earners and ageing players like Bellamy as well as those who don't fit into his philosophy like Carroll.

Allen and Dempsey are tidy players who would fit in well. Not Top 4 challenging but definitely a step forward from last year (could it go any other way really???)

I think they should be banned from the transfer forum if they are wrong, if it's possible. Constant bullshitters should be banned, there should be a better procedure.

I don't mind the fun, but this post could have still been put in the Agger post, just making a big deal by making a new thread claiming things. I don't know if his ITK or a WUM, nor do I care, but there should be better systems in place to deal with all this behaviour in transfer windows. I like the presence of Tolmie and the like, they make it more fun, but they should also be prepared for the shit they're going to cop. It only takes one or two to make them piss off and the rest take it with a pinch of salt and enjoy it (add pop corn cat here).

Re: Agger Bid

I haven't had time to go back and read the last ten or so pages, so this might have already been posted, but here's two key quotes regarding Agger from Brendan Rodgers' press conference today, from <a class="postlink" href="http://www.liverpoolfc.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.liverpoolfc.com</a>:

"But I suppose at every club, and we've seen it throughout (football), every player has a price."

"But like I say, you can never say never and I'm a realist, so we'll see where it goes between now and the end of the month."

Note that these quotes were sandwiched between compliments about Agger's ability and comments that he'd love for Agger to stay. Bit of diplomacy going on.

Full press conference here: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/rodgers-transfer-update-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest- ... r-update-1</a>

Agger announcement

But what's the problem with bull shit?

It's a forum - its not hurting anyone.

So someone creates a new topic - fills it with stuff they've just made up about a transfer... If you care enough to moan and want that person banned then you care too much and should ban yourself from the real world
