Daniel Agger (continued)

Daniel Taylor or some random?

On the face of it, I agree but if the £27 million was structured in a way where it was an initial fee of something like £18m-£20m with the rest in add-ons based on appearances and trophies won, etc, then that wouldn't be too bad.

Thing is, unlike a few years ago we don't have to pay through the nose for players because we're in a much stronger position with us being reigning league champions. If we feel Liverpool's valuation of Agger is too high we can easily walk away because we're nowhere near as desperate for quality players as we were when the takeover first happened. That said, I can see Liverpool's point of view in all this too - Agger hasn't asked to leave and is a key member of their squad so you can't blame them for sticking a high price on his head.

Manchester City - keeping other teams afloat since 2008

So how many times have we bid? Because a lot of places are saying we had a third bid turned down and most recent news is saying we're considering making a third bid soon?

If it's Taylor, it's probably true.

That's high.

Not Taylor, it was Andy Hunter - although as a poster above says this may refer to Liverpool letting him go for that value rather than us bidding that much

27 mil is a bit steep I think 20 is a fair price. They'll just sign Ashley Williams for 5 million netting a nice net profit and another Swansea old boy.
