Daniel Agger (continued)

No when SWP went we accepted that it was a chance for him and a good deal for us and that was the stance of most of the fans. If Agger stays good luck to him and I can see his point but from a purely footballing stance its absolute career suicide.

This saga is getting funny, the guy doesn't want to sign a new deal with liverpool then goes to play the fidelity card I want to stay bla bla so how could liverpool open discussions with city if the guy is not ok ?

one thing whether the guy is playing cards or city are that desperate to sign a guy who doesn't want to move ! who knows?

44% has agger been offered a new contract, it strikes me as very odd that he would do the whole i want to stay at lpool bit but isnt considering reducing wages etc in order to do just that.

Suicide? How bad do you think they are?

I reckon that he privately wants a move to City (why wouldn't he? It's a dream move) but is being very careful and not taking any chances with regards upsetting Liverpool fans because he probably wants to stay in his house in Liverpool (and if he has kids, to keep them in their current school without any problems)

I dont think they are close to being able to challenge for the league in the next 5 years and football is a short career.

If he decides to stay at Liverpool then I think the guy deserves a fooking clap (or a dose of it) for staying with a club he loves.
Remember Vinny saying offers were forthcoming from other European Clubs, but he did not want to leave because of his love for City.
Very few and far between are footballers who don`t move clubs for cash or glory, albeit probably missing out on playing CL and more silverware.
Fair play to the lad and I guess we`ll find out soon enough when 31st August passes.

from a professional view, kompany has no need to move anywhere, captain of city won the league + shield + cup + earning a very good salary + playing with better players than in most teams in the world + he is married to a mancunian + he was here since the start so :)

in case of Agger if really want liverpool ( despite average players, poor results lack of ambition from the owners) he can its a nice thing he can even lower his wage to stay there , but from a club view the time they saw that they have an opportunity to cash in or he became averrage or injured they will throw him... it works like that

If Agger was to turn down the chance to sign for City (I don't believe he would) then he's an idiot in my book.

Somebody who rejects the chance to probably double his wages and play in a championship winning team that competes in the Champions League to stay with a midtable Europa League outfit with much less pay just isn't of a sane mind.

Good point!

We should put a bid in for Vidic. He would make great cover for Lescott when he's fit again :)))

I think as someone here mentioned , when city were shit , you guys must have liked to have players who are loyal who rather stayed than move when big clubs were in , or did you called him an 'idiot' too?
perhaps you ought to check out his user name before calling city fans
at least he didn't hide his allegiance when he joined
