Been said before but:
1. Overpriced
2. Injury prone
3. Don't finance your 'competition'
4. How good is he really?

debatable

Agger has shit signing written all over him at £20 million +

At £15 - £18 million yes you can just about see its worth taking the risk as hes a decent player when fit for cover and hes not going to have to play every week at city.

But £20 million plus hes not worth anything like that. The lad from Belgium who plays with Kompany at international level cost spurs around £10 million. Hes a really good player and less than half Aggers price with none of the injury problems. There are loads of top centre half around in the German, italian and Spanish leagues you we could pick up for £20 - £25 million.

I just dont understand where we are comming from in the transfer market this summer. No wonder Mancini is pissed off.

On Guidetti we wouldnt give him away for nothing to a prem side plus hes likely to be out for most of the season with a serious virus problem anyway by the sounds of it.
hey its mancini who choose the targets ( as in almost all clubs) you think a club is willing to pay huge money for fun if he can target a cheap one that's would be perfect and it's his job because just getting the most expensive players is an easy stuff as you have money for it

So Agger will cost 20 million and high wages

Vertonghen cost Spurs 10 million and not a high wages

So why City didnt try to sign Vertonghen in the first place ?

Do you ever stop to think that our manager may not like the player ?

tbf its a good point, would have been a lot cheaper.

It's a good point if we wanted him.

Maybe he didn't want to come because he'd get more playing time, in a system he may prefer, at Spurs?

We can't buy everyone, no matter how many times TevezCity brings this exact same point up..

Also, who's to say he won't hack it in the prem?

just sayin, probably didnt want him, but no one can deny he would have been a good signing. most of the rumours on the transfer forum are bullshit anyway doesnt mean we cant say it would have been good to sign them. re sanchez, felliani .......
