I wonder if £20m plus Adebayor would tempt them, considering there are rumours linking him with a loan move to Anfield??????

Don't include adebayor in the deal, but give him to them, as a thank you once the deal has been completed. like a complimentary glass of champers or something similar

Adebayour with his recent actions has clearly indicated that he will not take a pay cut - he would rather be loaned out and sit on his contract rather than move away - sadly even if City offered this Jokepool would not pay the wages he wouls want / demand - sad really

I agree, but surely if we tell him he will rot in the reserves, don't play him at all, let him train on his own etc, he has to prove to a club that he is worth signing when his contract runs out. how can he do that if he hasn't played? he needs to move on instead of counting his pennies

i think he is aware of that - i cant believe that he thinks we would include him in the 25 man pl list but he is a stubborn twat and he knoes full well that if he is on a free someone will take a punt on him - maybe he will do a video and a glossy brochure like Owen

Sadly football clubs seem to have no issue employing footballers who have either recently come out of prision or whom are general odious twats far worse than Adebayour enter Joey Barton

Still hope we can shifthim though but sadly it is likely to be more on his terms than outs

I feel bad for lescott that there seems to be something behind this (even if it is just the rumor mill going into overdrive) and that i think agger would be fantastic with kompany but i have some odd hope that with agger's injury history and hopefully going further in f.a and cl comps we can keep both of them happy and sharp with enough playing time.
If he looks to costs anything more than 18-20m I don't think i'd be that keen but if it happens then just gotta trust in the club.

Think it will be horses for courses. Depends on who the oppostion is and who they have. There could be as many as 60 games this coming season, that's nearly 2 a week with breaks and stuff. Everyone will play and will play with different partners. When Bob's happy with a partnership, I'm sure Vinnie won't be played as much.

I guess it does come off like that, I just meant that agger is very injury prone so it might be easier to juggle 3 quality cb's

Kompany and Agger looks a monster pairing. Agger is aggressive yet good on the ball and able to bring it out of defence comfortably.

Kompany/Agger Lescott/Toure

Mix and match.

If in a back three allows one defender to be rested every four games.

Back four when you have full compliment of midfield players, back three allows rotation and rest for midfield as well. IMO.
