Re: Agger Bid

Is it just me or do some players just have that look about them where you can never imagine them being considered bad players? Suarez and Rekik seem like them kind of people to me, I can't imagine them not being at the top of the game come them being say, 27 or 28.

We look at players like Harry Bunn, John Guidetti and Joan Roman, who look phenomenal in our EDS and youth sides and always hope that they can make it. The sad reality is that 90% of the time they don't.

Rekik and Suarez are different, I don't think anyone doubts that they'll be superstars, particularly Rekik. I genuinely believe he'll be a first team player in 2 years, which is extraordinary for a centre back, you don't make your debut as a CB at 16 years old unless you're a bit special.

Doubts grow over Agger’s Liverpool future as agent reveals Europa League absence not due to injury
The 27-year-old's representative also claimed the Reds are yet to offer the defender a contract extension, despite Manchester City and Barcelona's interest in the centre-back

The Denmark international was initially believed to be set to miss out with a slight knock, but his representative Per Steffensen has since confirmed the centre-back had been declared fully fit for the tie.

With Manchester City and Barcelona both believed to be keen on the 27-year-old, the continuing uncertainty over Agger’s future will be of concern to manager Brendan Rodgers as he looks to rebuild his inherited squad at Anfield.

"He is not injured in any way," Per Steffensen told Politiken.

"Only the club and the manager can answer to why he is not in the squad."

However, Steffensen was quick dismiss suggestions that Agger had handed in a transfer request on Merseyside, although revealed that the club had yet to offer the player an extension to his current deal, which expires in 2014.

"But the reports of Agger handing in a transfer request are purely nonsense. He is very happy at Liverpool,” he added.

"We have not heard from Liverpool with regards to a contract extension."

The plot thickens... I doubt they would sell to us.

I think they might sell- Dogleash squandered millions on crap (Henderson, Adam, Downing, Carroll) Personally I don't think they have a pot to piss in. They do however still have a solid world wide fan base. But haven't had Champions League money for a few years now.

Re: Agger Bid

According to the danish media, Agger is most likely to sign for City.
Apparently he spent yesterday talking to Marwood.
