Unfortunately, yes. I'm pretty sure 10 appearances are required and he has made 13 league appearances in the league - 11 as a sub! He should refuse to accept it.
To be perfectly honest, why not? They're all like that. Every time one of them wants to commit to a club for life, it is always with the proviso that they get more money, on top of the outrageous dosh they're on already. The game is full of them, and I don't blame Sturridge one bit for doing what he done. He's now got a winners medal, and in 10 years no one will remember how many games he played.
