I know the headlines for him will be about his goal,very well taken and great vison to make the run to make the goal.However I thought defensively he was excellent,timed his challenges well,stood off when necessary to weigh up the options and dispite his many overlapping runs was always back in position when things broke down

Probably his best game for us. If he can perform like this more often he may push Walker for the #1 spot.

He’s been defensively good pretty much every time he’s been on the pitch. He looks a bit suspect when he plays at LB, but that’s normal as he’s out of position. But he looks quality at RB. I want him to start at Southampton, I think Walkers been poor for months.

He was superb last night; mom in my opinion. There have been several games where he hasn't looked as good though so it's important that he is given time to keep developing.

That's what stood out for me. Made numerous excellent, strong challenges and then immediately bombed forward. Just a complete performance.

I think Walker really wanted to play every single game this season because Pochettino basically said he wasn't fit enough and that's why he rotated him with Trippier.

After the world cup, and shortened off-season hopefully he and Pep will be more keen on rotating.

I also think if Danilo just played a few more games his quality would show and he'd end up possibly filling in elsewhere.

It's kind of funny that after everything this season he's going to go to the World Cup and might even start. I think he'll do well in that side also, Tite sets them up to be on the front foot and he'll have plenty of opportunities to get forward. Massively underrated by many on here.
