I politely disagree. Reasons I would not:

- He'll hit his peak in the next 3-5 seasons. What had Mane and Salah achieved at Raheem's age?
- We won't always play this way and as you point out he's something different to everyone else in the squad.
- He has an incredible record and those suggesting we should move him on seem to be totally skewed by a few short months off him being off form.
- Nobody could pay what he's worth at the moment anyway
- I've never seen a City player receive so much vitriol and abuse and he's handled it all with dignity and strength. I have so much respect for him, I think he deserves far better than the trashing he gets from many on here.

If he’s willing to play a substitute and/or sporadic role off the bench then he’d be a fine option to have in the squad. There can be no version of this where he leads the line every week unless we have major injuries. Next 4 games includes Leicester, who tonked us 5-2, Leeds who we drew with in a game that could have gone either way, and a rejuvenated Chelsea that almost never concedes under Tuchel and is set up all wrong for us. This is mixed in among a Champions League Quarter final, League Cup final and FA Cup semi final.

Only reason I can think of this potentially being an option is a back up or rotation to Jesus and the potentially incoming Messi. Depends on the price tho, obvs he injury prone, but we don't need to play him every 3 days, Pep loves to mix 'n match. Deffo keep GJ tho' cos his contribution is phenomenal. Probably due to who he's been playing for and scoring chances they create. We create chances, lots of em, just need someone to knock them in. If the club don't fancy spunking 100m plus for Haaland/Kane, they'd do a lot worse imho.

We have never broke a transfer record. We have improved every position as and when with better players. Is he better than what we have? I think he could be an option. And the £100m+ less he would cost than a top draw player would go elsewhere.

Its unlikely but you need options. You need an alternative to getting rinsed in the market.
