Danny Murphy's man of the match!

Sometimes I think this victim complex goes to far.

As previous posters have said Billing is a young lad who had an excellent 1st half. It will mean a lot to him. I'm sure Kun couldn't care less!

Nothing Anti-City about Murphys decision. Just giving it to a lad who stood out (in his old position) for a poor side.

Kun probably doesn't give a fuck, however Garcia was the best young player on the pitch last night, he should have gotten the award and he showed that he'll be fine in the first team, needs to be involved a lot more.

Thoughts from the BBC Coverage.
  1. Lineker - smug, fake tan, goatee beard (thinks he is a Musketeer), condescending remarks about Pep.
  2. Shearer - Failed manager telling people what we do wrong (how would he know) and dismissing the penalty claims - idiot.
  3. Half time - They promote the Chelsea v Scum forthcoming cup tie.
  4. Murphy - Inexplicably gives the MOM award to a player who went AWOL in the 2nd half and did not finish the match.
  5. Sheringham - We get a lengthy piece on his career and his wish to win the FA cup which finally happened at the Scum (BBC got them in for a 2nd time).
  6. Pep - Cut off after only a couple of minutes of his interview, very disrespectful.
  7. Penalty claims - If a player goes to ground in an attempt to block a cross and the ball hits his hand, it is intentional (fact) and a penalty should be awarded.
I normally do not watch a game until it kicks off and then switch channels at half time, because it was City I watched the full coverage and it was awful.

It's not a matter of negativity or unhappiness - it's just something that really cannot be explained. MotM, unless a player has scored a double hat trick and then been carried off, should be awarded to someone who has completed the entire match, near enough, and not just two thirds of it. How did the lad 'influence' the game? He didn't. How many times did he bamboozle our players? He didn't! Another inexplicable, pick any number or any name, from the moron's moron!
It can be explained though, it is them being sympathetic to Huddersfield, everyone know he wasn't motm, it was just a bit of charity.

Felt sorry for Sinclair trying to be positive then having Kilbane butt in with his unadulterated pish, the grimace on Trev's face said it all and you could see he was forcing himself not to roll his eyes or give him a slap.

Lineker was on his side, I thought. I think Lineker likes Guardiola, and thus City. He's regualrly pulling up moaning pundits on the BBC and BT.

i think the lad played really well in both games and it was a token man of the match in this case also remember its a couple of levels up from the championship and he was there stand out player respect must be given this was manchester city and a very good line up and to a lad coming up the leagues to face us on our own pitch you like to see young talent giving it a go well played Billing

but the media know there role and all have to tow the line and even the BBC are just little fish in football to sky and BT and never ever bite the hand that feeds you or you lose the highlights on match of the day and other stuff like the FA cup so nothing shocks me with the panels that are told what to say and point out stuff but best part of the night viewing was mike summerbee again putting them in there place WELL SAID MIKE nothing is over this season other than the league cup we are still fighting and fight to the end

I don't normally mind Murphy, but seemed a bit unnecessarily cantankerous last night. Not too bothered about who got the man of the match award though. It was an odd choice, even though he looks like a good prospect.

More condescending to Huddersfield than a slight on us. The lad had a very good first half, but faded badly in the second half.

Generally don't mind Danny Murphy and I don't really give a shit who he gave the MOTM to, we won, played very well and through to the next round. For once nothing to really bother me.

I value Danny Murphy's opinion on football about as much as I'd value Roman Polanski's opinion on underage sex. There's common sense, and then there's the alternate reality these two fuckwits live in.

Surely he's an expert then?
