Danny Murphy's man of the match!

i think the lad played really well in both games and it was a token man of the match in this case also remember its a couple of levels up from the championship and he was there stand out player respect must be given this was manchester city and a very good line up and to a lad coming up the leagues to face us on our own pitch you like to see young talent giving it a go well played Billing

but the media know there role and all have to tow the line and even the BBC are just little fish in football to sky and BT and never ever bite the hand that feeds you or you lose the highlights on match of the day and other stuff like the FA cup so nothing shocks me with the panels that are told what to say and point out stuff but best part of the night viewing was mike summerbee again putting them in there place WELL SAID MIKE nothing is over this season other than the league cup we are still fighting and fight to the end
And breathe.

I think you lot are totally overreacting to be honest.

Oh by the way Murphy has just named the numer 19 from Middlesboro as his MOTM for the next round.

Murphy's co-commentary was truly embarrassing and cringeworthy last night. I was constantly shaking my head at the utter gibberish he spouted for 90 minutes plus stoppage time.

I can't see the problem. Clearly a sympathetic nod and acknowledgement of how far they came in the competition. Any one of four of ours could have been picked, but they have limelight and praise week in, week out. Huddersfield players don't and so what better way to give them some credit than single out a player who played really well at times and on national TV. Good gesture from the panel I thought.
Stuart.

Therefore the Aguero's, Messi's and Ronaldo's of this world should never again win a man of the match award? What a load of old horse shit.

A tad aggressive in reply to my point there.
That's not what I said. Why not let the underdog have a bit of recognition in a game they were not expected to win and where one of their youngsters held his own against world class opposition?

Bit patronising if you ask me.
Bet the lad thought it was a puss take.

These are third in the Championship not fighting relegation in the conference with a pie addict keeper.

Look at this grandson, this was one of my first MOTM awards even though my team got battered 5-1
