£16 million is nothing at all for a young english forward.
Hes not a top player and never will be. However in that Arsenal side he will get at least 10 - 15 goals a season. Hes better than their current forwards as well. No gamble really, his wages will not be that high either.
When you consider rags are willing to pay £24 million in wages and loan fee to borrow Falcoe for a season it puts it in perspective.
The fact they are willing to sell this guy to what is their main rival for 4th shows how far they have slipped as a club imo.
Hes not a top player and never will be. However in that Arsenal side he will get at least 10 - 15 goals a season. Hes better than their current forwards as well. No gamble really, his wages will not be that high either.

I don't get what your point is.
Every successful team has good solid players and that's what Welbeck is. I'm not saying he should replace Kun, but he definitely has certain qualities that are missing from our squad.
