Great man. I'm in.
Great shout tooSorry to hjack this thread for David, but just looking back on the last 30 years of City history, i think David Bernstein, John Wardle and David Makin should all be made lifetime honorary club presidents.
Without them I doubt City would even exist today. Time for the club to make things right I think.
What? We never had an issue with the ticket office under his watch.......
I wonder if the decision to make him Saint Bernard was to buy his silence so he didn't go around spilling the beans although he'd be implicating himself there though.....when he was on the Wembley royal box with the team it made me very disappointed.
I get Howard Bernstein being a President. But Lease? It's the Moston Rag Socks who should be putting him on a pedestal after all the council tax payers money he has spunked away on that club.
David would be a more than welcome President
so he's got 30.000 points
If promoted effectively, I genuinely believe that such a proposal would meet with universal approval and, hopefully, see the club honour David with reward he so richly deserves.Just typing up the second part of the interview we did with DB for KOTK and I'd forgotten one quite shocking thing he told me that needs to be put right. I'm not quite clear on the exact timing but I believe it was after the Shinawatra takeover, he had his season tickets taken off him and these were never returned. I thought that was shocking, considering the service he gave our club over a number of years.
We have 4 Honorary Presidents - Tony Book, Sir Howard Bernstein (no relation), Sir Richard Leese and Raymond Donn. Not to disrepect Raymond Donn in any way, but did he do more for us than David Bernstein did? So I'm starting a campaign to get David Bernstein to be made an Honorary President. I really don't think that's a lot to ask.
