What evidence has led you to that conclusion?
News and direct comments from Lescott and Richards themselves, from various sources and occasions.

i.e.
Richards:
Vieira apparently 'asked him what he wanted to achieve in the game: 'I want to play for a successful City team and play for England too.'
'Really??' replied a surprised Vieira. 'Then how come you're the last one onto the training pitch every day and the first one off it?''

Micah Richards has warned Manchester City that he will look to quit the club over his lack of first-team opportunities this season.

"I've never really been used to sitting on the bench and not playing and I hate it. I don't feel it's acceptable to me if I'm honest," he told The Sun.

Lescott:
Defender looking to improve personal performances...
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2010/07/08/2015369/joleon-lescott-seeking-more-consistency-at-manchester-city" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/pre ... ester-city</a>

He said he want to train hard and prove himself to Mancini:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/news/2010/10/24/joleon-lescott-claims-manchester-city-have-their-own-hairdryer-it-s-roberto-mancini-the-italian-gob-of-eastlands-102039-22653687/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/ ... -22653687/</a>

And Lescott picture on the os proved everything without needing to say a word:

Cheers,i figured as much....

So if City failed with a £35m bid in the summer why would they not be bidding now when the price is below £30m?

Just wondering ;-)

Maybe City don't want to go there in this window.

We have plenty of center backs and it would mean probably dropping Toure which may p*ss his brother off as well.

Luiz was great last season although i haven't persionally seen much of him people who have seen him this season say he hasn't been quite as consistent

Looks like Chelski have Luiz in the bag. If we are after him, does this cancel out our previous 'show of power' that Tolmie spoke about?

Maybe cos he hasn't been playing aswell as he was last season, and he is owned by a group not by the club. Maybe they have thought its better to cash in now than let his value decrease more.

Ruiz from Espanyol who we've been linked with is having a great season, the only part of his game that is lacking is his technical side, and if we went for him, he'd learn it playing in the Prem.

The only other big name in play is Alves but I wouldn't expect that to happen in Jan'.

Portuguese 'football expert' on Talksport - Pedro Pinto? - stating expects the Chelski move to go through in next 24hrs and that he rates Luiz as the best young centrehalf in Europe.......

If Chelsea cannot complete in next 24 hours it suggests more than tiny issues?

Maybe then City will stir the pot a bit with a bid?
