David Pizarro

Great player always rated him, unfortunately doesn't suit Roma's style of play which is why he's surplus to requirements

I'd love to see him get a full 90 minutes against Bolton, he's constantly looking for the forward pass or the pass to set others free which is impressive, especially given his ability to retain the ball and then actually make the pass contrary to the few we've had previously who can either see it and not make it, or not see it at all.

A shrewd move by Mancini, this acquisition.

Pizarro seems very, very impressive.

lets not get over the top by a player who has come on everytime when the game is dusted. regardless how good cameo appearance was. i'm not ready for him to take start from any of our 4 centre midfield generals yet. even viera couldnt take that job and he was still top drawer when we signed him. might be top drawer but keep it sensible yet

very impressed so far.

neat and tidy

great first touch

decent passer

whats not to like?

ideal for situations like today, and porto.

mancini obv thinks he can do a job as a squad player.

when iv watched him, he just seems like a really good fit.

You could tell the difference in the Roma side when he was missing-particularly last season -Roma werent as good a side without him.

Compare his impact with the returning Messiah (scholes) who although has a 1000000% pass completion and is lauded over by all the pundits, all he does is pass to the left or right or back. Dont recall Scholes making the killer passes that The Pizza man has.Anyone got any comparable stats?

Pizarro delivers that beautiful 2nd to last pass players like Xavi deliver. He is the kind of player we should be looking to start at our home fixtures whilst most teams look to pack the bus. His vision is limitless. His style of play should be admirable for our younger players. You don't have to stepover one thousand times to succeed.

He's always been a valuable player. If he was 22 rather than 32 teams like Barca and Real would be after him. You can't teach his talent, only experience it.
