First it was his fitness that was the reason he was finished, now he's playing regularly he's finished because he is supposedly stifling crowd favourite KDB from being able to control a ball or pass it 10 yards, what will be the next reason?? Nothing like taking a position and sticking to it regardless.

For me there is one too many play makers in the middle of the pitch, that is the reason we arent seeing the best of Silva or KDB. Pep sees Dave as our leader on the pitch, the player most likely to implement his vision of how the game should be played, but obviously there are those that know better, as always.

Completely agree. I got pelters on here for saying last season that Silva was finished at the top, top level. I think he's mentally weak and hides when the going gets tough.

And as stated, a few have been consistent when we have been winning that he is hindering the way we play.... I'd take KDB in the middle and twice and Sunday, and as stated on numerous occasions, he invariably delivers when playing poorly, never mind well!

He doesn't replicate his goalscoring form for Spain with us because A) Spain have a better international team than our club team, B) we don't get to play against the likes San Marino anywhere near as frequently and C) he has played as their most advanced central player on many occasions.

I don't get why it's used by some as a stick to beat him with. We all know he's not the most instinctive goalscorer; that setup flatters him statistically. His goalscoring form is roughly the same for us as it was for Valencia, where again he played a more advanced role alongside David Villa.

In any case, it's a moot point as David is one of many, many great players who's contribution can't be measured in goals.

I think it's far too premature to be saying it's his last season and he was hugely influential in our early season form. Either two things will now happen: we have another disappointing season like last or we turn it around and it starts clicking again. David will be at the centre of whatever happens.

Let's wait until anything of any significance has actually happened rather than just lurking and waiting for weeks to pounce after a disappointing game.

We have a keeper who keeps waving goals passed him, a defense that is as weak as any in the division and a forward line that isnt taking its chances, but to some its Silva that is the issue and he is finished, this when creating chances and ball retention have been 2 of the brightest parts of our play all season.

I think every club in the division would take Silva in a heart beat, in fact the list of those clubs in the world that wouldnt would be very very short, yet, some geniuses still know better than our and just about every manager in world football.
