The last few games Merlin has played ive noticed he has had excellent second halves , he really controls games for the last 45 minutes , and yet he struggles to get into games in the first half , long may it continue , the last three games have been 0-0 at half time and then Merlin produces his magic , brilliant player.

I'm sure I've read similar throughout his city career, absolutely stunning player and gets stuck in

Apparently he was getting hammered on twitter for being the worse player on the pitch. Whoever it was, have a word with yourselves will you.

Since Boxing Day he’s played 20 games, that’s more than a game every 4 days. And that includes 90 minutes vs Burton and 82 minutes vs Newport. It’s absolutely ridiculous for a 33 year old to be playing so much football. He hasn’t scored in 2019 either.

Silva plays so much due to KDB injury and Pep playing Bernardo on the wing.

SIlva's game time at 33 years old should be much less. In fact he should be squad player this stage of his career IMO.

Well we have a ready made Silva replacement in the squad, but Pep clearly doesn’t trust him.

Pep said he wouldn't play as much this season but the kev injuries put paid to that plan,he has been playing too much all season, maybe pep values his experience to lead the younger players,i expect next season he won't play much

He is definitely playing too much, but his decline is also very much real.

We are lucky we have an international break right now, gets some proper rest.

People are quick to forget that he was our best player in the first 1/3rd of the season. It’s purely down to playing too much that his influence hasn’t been as great recently, and obviously that’s been down to Kev being injured.

David always has the ability to change a game whatever form he is in, one magical little pass that only world class players can see is all he needs to do. He has played a lot of games recently and will benefit from the next week off to recharge. Hopefully Kevin back soon to take some of the load off him.

David has been struggling with his ankles for a while but these past 2 weeks it has got better. Rest is good on one hand for David but then bad on another because he is a rhythm player.
He will benefit though I'm sure for having a bit of sunshine next week.
